Everyone should have the possibility to travel easily and independently in the Brussels-Capital Region. The Brussels government wants to make travelling easier for people with reduced mobility.
As such, we provide lifts in metro stations, guidance systems for the blind, audible signals at crossing points, taxis equipped to transport wheelchairs, assistance with journeys by metro or train and a TaxiBus service from STIB for transporting people with disabilities.
You can read all about the travel possibilities for people with reduced mobility on the Brussels Mobility website.
You can also contact a 'Reduced Mobility Centre' (MMC) in your municipality or CPAS. A Reduced Mobility Centre offers travel possibilities for people with low incomes and reduced mobility. You can find all information on their website.
