The municipal elections are held to elect the representatives in the municipal council: the mayor, the aldermen and the municipal councillors. In turn, the municipal councillors appoint the representatives of the public centre for social welfare (CPAS) and the police council of the police zone.
The municipal elections are held every six years, always on the second Sunday of October.
Further information about the elections can be found on the website of the Directorate of Elections of the Federal Public Service Home Affairs. On the website with the Belgian election results, you can find the results of all elections in Belgium since 1848 for the local, regional, federal and European level.
